Smu vs Memphis : The resurgent SMU Mustangs hope to keep their ACC title-game hopes alive when they host the high-powered Memphis Tigers on Friday night at 9 p.m. ET. SMU can stay in first place in the West Division with an upset, while Memphis can keep its slim division hopes alive with a win.

These are two of the top offensive units in the conference, so expect plenty of fireworks. The Tigers rank No. 6 nationally in scoring (44.6 points), while the Mustangs have posted 107 total points their last two games. The Tigers opened as 8.5-point favorites, but that number is down to 7.5 in the current Memphis vs. SMU odds. The over-under for total points scored has held steady at 73.5. Before you lock in your Memphis vs. SMU picks, check out what SportsLine expert Emory Hunt has to say.

Hunt is the founder and CEO of Football Gameplan, which has been supplying analysis of all levels of football since 2007. The former college football running back joined SportsLine in 2016 and has provided his followers with winning seasons ever since. Hunt is having another solid season for SportsLine members. What’s more, he has had a keen eye for the tendencies of AAC programs and boasts an impressive 9-4 record on picks involving Memphis or SMU over the past two seasons.

In Week 3, Hunt told SportsLine members that Memphis’ high-powered offense would overwhelm Georgia State and recommended backing the Tigers as four-touchdown favorites. The result: They rolled to a 59-22 victory, and anyone who followed Hunt’s advice picked up an easy winner.

Now, Hunt has studied Southern Methodist vs. Memphis from every possible angle and released a strong point-spread pick that’s only available at SportsLine.

Hunt knows the Tigers have had a down year by their recent standards, which includes at least eight wins each of the last four seasons and two campaigns with double-digit victories. However, they are just a couple plays away from having another standout season. Memphis blew a 13-point halftime lead in its 31-30 loss to undefeated Central Florida and also squandered a 12-point lead in the second half of a 22-21 loss at Navy.

Memphis is favored primarily because it could have an edge in the trenches. The Tigers have the fifth-ranked rushing attack in the country (270.2 yards per game) going against an SMU defense that allows 202.5 on the ground. The Mustangs’ defense also allows an average of 36.8 points per game.

But the Tigers’ strong form doesn’t guarantee a cover against a Southern Methodist team that has emerged as an unlikely contender under first-year coach Sonny Dykes.

The Mustangs lost their first three games against a tough nonconference slate by an average of 26 points, but they have won five of seven since. The signature win came in a 45-31 upset of front-runner Houston two weeks ago as two-touchdown home underdogs. They racked up 514 yards of total offense and forced two turnovers in dismantling the Cougars.

We can tell you Hunt is leaning toward the over, but his much stronger play is on the spread. Hunt has scoured every aspect of this matchup and unearthed the critical x-factor that causes one side of the spread to hit hard. He’s only sharing at SportsLine.

Memphis vs SMU

Memphis vs SMU :Memphis will be on the road on Friday night to take on AAC opponent SMU. The Tigers are coming off of a dominant performance last week against Tulsa, and they will once again need a big performance against the Mustangs. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. CT, and Memphis is a 7.5-point favorite.

Here’s a look at how to watch/listen to Memphis’s game vs. SMU.

Online: WatchESPN- Also the audio of the game will be streamed on GoTigersGo/listen.

Radio: In Memphis you can listen on 600 WREG AM or Rock 103 FM, in Jackson listen on WJAK AM 1460 or WJAK FM 96.1, or in Nashville listen on WNQM AM 1300.

After an embarrassing loss to Missouri in Columbia, the season felt over. It felt like all the positivity and hype surrounding the program evaporated, but fast forward nearly a month later and the entire outlook of the season has changed. Memphis controls their own destiny for the remainder of the season, and if they win on Friday night and beat Houston at home next week then they will once again be AAC West Champions.

It seemed completely out of the realm of possibility a month ago, but the Tigers got healthy during their bye week and they have now won back-to-back conference games. Memphis will have to take care of business against the Mustangs on Friday night, which will not be an easy task.

The Tigers have struggled on the road this season with their only victory coming against East Carolina, so they must be prepared and locked in. The entire team must be sharp, but the offensive weapons must continue to shine for the Tigers.

Darrell Henderson is having one of the greatest rushing seasons in program history, and he will need to have a big game once again. The weakest part of this SMU team is their rushing defense, which is music to the ears of Henderson and running mate Patrick Taylor along with the Tigers vaunted offensive line. The Mustangs allow over 200 rushing yards per game, so Memphis must capitalize.

Tigers quarterback Brady White has been very impressive since the bye week, and he has to bring that same composure and playmaking ability to Dallas on Friday night. White has been up and down on the road this season, but he has looked like a different player over the last two weeks. He has seemingly taken control of the offense, and he just overall looks more comfortable on the field.

SMU is a pass first team, so Memphis’s secondary must be on high alert. The Tigers secondary has had some rough games this season, but they turned in one of their best performances against Tulsa last week. Although it was against a weak Tulsa team, the defense must carry over the confidence and energy they played with against the Golden Hurricanes to Friday night’s game.

New Mexico vs Boise State

New Mexico vs Boise State : BOISE – The Boise State football team takes its five-game winning streak – and its hopes for a second-consecutive conference title – on the road for a nationally-televised matchup with New Mexico on Friday night.

The Broncos (8-2, 5-1 Mountain West) are riding high after a 24-17 come-from-behind win at home against Fresno State, and were rewarded this week with a return to the top 25 in each of the major polls.

Meanwhile, New Mexico (3-7, 1-5 MWC) is looking to break a five-game skid against conference opponents. The most recent loss came at Air Force, a 44-24 defeat last Saturday.

Lobos coach Bob Davie said during his press conference on Tuesday that his team has struggled with consistency on both sides of the ball, but noted that they have been doing some things right recently, including forcing nine fumbles in the last three weeks.

“That’s unheard of,” Davie said of the forced fumbles. “We’re not a bad team, we’re more an inconsistent team that offensively is trying to become consistent, and defensively we are beat up.”

Davie said his team knows what kind of challenge they will face in Boise State on Friday night, and referred specifically to quarterback Brett Rypien, running back Alexander Mattison and cornerback/punt returner Avery Williams.

“Boise coming in here – another top 25 team – with a NFL quarterback, without any doubt, and I think an NFL running back,” he said. “They always are what they are on defense, and they’ve got a really good punt returner.

“They’re Boise,” he added, simply. “Sometimes it isn’t as bad as it looks, sometimes it isn’t has good as it looks. We’ve just got to find a way to become consistent, and we’ve go to find a way to really muscle up and man up on defense.”

For his part, Boise State coach Bryan Harsin said his team will need to avoid getting caught looking ahead to a big matchup next week. The Broncos will face No. 23 Utah State on Nov. 24 in a game that will likely decide who will represent the Mountain Division in the conference championship game.

“If you start looking ahead – and this goes for any opponent – you’re neglecting what you have to do that’s right in front of you,” Harsin said. “We’re the best when we focus on the task at hand, and we’re the worst when we don’t.”

Harsin pointed to past games between the Broncos and Lobos that have been closer than expected, including a demoralizing loss on the Blue three years ago.

“Going back and looking at the history of all these games we’ve played, it’s been a battle,” Harsin said. “There’s been some high-scoring games… they beat us here [in 2015] and that was really disappointing, that still stings, and that’s something you never forget. Some of the guys playing for us right now weren’t a part of that, but they certainly know about it.

“I’ll make sure I do my part to make sure they understand what we’re getting into and the type of team we’re about to play and the way these games have gone,” he added.

After last week’s big win against a ranked Fresno State, the Broncos jumped back into the top 25 of the major polls this week. They are ranked No. 23 in the AP Top 25 and No. 24 in the Amway Coaches Poll.

More importantly, Boise State checked in at No. 25 in the latest College Fooball Playoff rankings, which determines the teams that will play in the College Football Playoffs, as well as the prestigious New Years Six bowl games.

The top-ranked Group of Five conference champion in that poll gets an automatic berth in one of the high-profile New Years Six bowls.

In order for Boise State to earn that automatic berth they will need to win the rest of their games, including the conference championship, while also needing some teams in front of them to lose in the final weeks of the regular season.

Unbeaten UCF (9-0, 6-0 American Athletic Conference) moved up one spot to No. 11 in Tuesday’s poll, while No. 24 Cincinnati moved into the poll for the first time, just one spot ahead of the Broncos. The Knights and Bearcats play each other on Saturday in a game that could help decide the American Athletic Conference East Division.

Also ranked ahead of Boise State – Mountain West foe Utah State at No. 23. The Broncos and Aggies will face off at Albertsons Stadium in the regular season finale on November 24. That game will likely decide the Mountain Division champion.

The Broncos and Lobos have played a total of nine times, with Boise State owning a 8-1 advantage in the series. The lone New Mexico win came at Albertsons Stadium in 2015. The Lobos have never beaten the Broncos in Albuquerque.

The teams played just twice – in 1999 and 2000 – before the Broncos joined the Mountain West in 2011.

Boise State’s all-time record against New Mexico:

Boise State vs New Mexico

Boise State vs New Mexico ; Friday will bring Mountain West football to CBS Sports Network as the Boise State Broncos travels to New Mexico with kickoff scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. The Broncos are 19.5-point favorites, with the total at 63 in the latest Boise State vs. New Mexico odds.

The visitors need just one more victory to set up a showdown for the Mountain Division title against Utah State next week, but the Lobos will look to thwart that effort at home. Before making your Boise State vs. New Mexico picks, be sure to check out what the advanced computer model at SportsLine has to say.

Boise State vs New Mexico Live

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times, and those who have followed it have seen massive returns. Over the past three years, this proprietary computer model has generated a jaw-dropping $4,210 profit for $100 bettors on its top-rated point-spread picks.

The model was red-hot on top-rated picks last week. It nailed Ohio State (-3.5) over Michigan State in a game where the Buckeyes covered with plenty of room to spare in a 26-6 rout. Picks like that helped it go an impressive 23-10 overall on all top-rated plays, and anyone who followed it finished way, way up.

Now, the model has simulated every possible play for Boise State vs. New Mexico 10,000 times. We can tell you it’s leaning under, but it has also locked in an against the spread pick that’s hitting 60 percent of the time. You can only see that one at SportsLine.

The model knows the Broncos have a decided advantage offensively against a New Mexico defense that has been susceptible to giving up big chunks of yardage on the ground and through the air. Considering Boise State’s balance on offense, that bodes well for their chances of covering.

Four-year starting quarterback Bretty Rypien and All-Mountain West running back Alex Mattison have been excellent all season for the Broncos, with Rypien passing for 3,048 yards and 25 touchdowns and Mattison rushing for 870 yards and 12 scores. Both had strong performances in a win over Fresno State last week and are primed for big days against a New Mexico defense that has given up at least 600 yards of total offense in two of their last three games.

However, don’t assume that makes covering a given for Boise State.

The Lobos were incredibly stingy in their last home game against San Diego State. They were 12-point underdogs in that contest and wound up covering in a 31-23 loss.

The Lobos actually led 23-14 in the fourth quarter before a late charge from the Aztecs. In that game, the Lobos were able to hang around because of their ability to create turnovers, which has been a strength of their defense all season. They’ve taken the ball away 21 times this season and if they can force Boise State into critical mistakes, they’ll have a strong chance to cover.

So, which side of Boise State vs. New Mexico hits against the spread in 60 percent of simulations? Visit SportsLine now to see which side of Boise State vs. New Mexico you need to jump on, all from the model that has returned more than $4,000 in profit for $100 bettors, and find out.

These will most likely be the final two games for Ricardo Ferretti and Lionel Scaloni as interim managers. Both nations are expected to announce new coaches in December, so the two men currently in charge will surely be looking to end their reign in style with two big wins against rival nations. We can expect different lineups in both matches, but the hunger to win will be there all the same.

This is also a chance to watch some of the world’s best players in action. Argentina still don’t have Lionel Messi, who is yet to represent his country since the World Cup and is currently out with a fractured arm, but they have in Paulo Dybala and Mauro Icardi – two of the best-attacking players on Earth – and the two want to illustrate that Argentina is still very good even without Messi.

Mexico will not have the injured Hirving Lozano for the two matches, but there is still plenty of talent in the El Tri squad, with players like Raúl Jiménez and Marco Fabián looking to lead their nation to victory against the Albiceleste over the next two games.

These are two of the best teams in the world playing each other twice, and both games are must-watch. You can stream this and other top international friendlies with fuboTV . Sign up now for a free trial .

Uruguay has lost each of its last two matches. It dropped a 2-1 result against South Korea, then lost 4-3 against Japan. Uruguay will face France next Tuesday following its bout with Brazil.

France vs Netherlands

France vs Netherlands : France may not have been universally popular World Cup winners in the summer due to Didier Deschamps’ pragmatic approach, but there could be little doubt that they were highly effective as a unit.

France vs Netherlands Live

Since overcoming Croatia 4-2 in an exciting final, Les Bleus have continued to be a side that has continued its steady, if somewhat unspectacular progress. Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola had to be on his mettle to secure a 0-0 draw in Germany, while back at home, both the 2006 world champions and the Netherlands threatened to take points away from Paris.

The top two teams in Group 1 of League A in the UEFA Nations League will meet up one more time when France and the Netherlands face off on Friday, Nov. 16.

In September these squads met for their first game against each other in the group stage, and France prevailed 2-1. Kylian Mbappe and Olivier Giroud delivered the goals for france and Ryan Babel scored for the Netherlands.

France can lock up the group with a draw after already getting a draw and a victory against Germany in the two matches those two faced each other.

The Netherlands could still win the group and earn a spot in the Nations League final, but it would take a win Friday over the Netherlands and a win over Germany later in the month. If the Netherlands can win against France but just earns a draw against Germany, France and the Netherlands would be in a tiebreak situation at the top of the group to determine who goes to the semifinals.

Kavaliauskas vs Arriaza

Kavaliauskas vs Arriaza : Alex “El Cholo” Saucedo grew up in Oklahoma City, a short bike ride from the Chesapeake Energy Arena. It was called the Ford Center back then, but Saucedo always dreamed of headlining a world title fight in his hometown.

Saucedo will get that chance on Friday, Nov. 16 when he challenges WBO junior welterweight champion Maurice Hooker at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. This special one-fight Top Rank on ESPN broadcast begins at midnight ET.

The undercard, including the welterweight showdown between Egidijus “The Mean Machine” Kavaliauskas and Roberto Arriaza, will stream live at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+ — the new multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service from The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer & International segment in conjunction with ESPN.

Promoted by Top Rank, in association with Roc Nation Sports and Matchroom Boxing USA, tickets for this world championship event are on sale now. Priced at $250, $150, $75, $50, and $35, tickets may be purchased at the Chesapeake Energy Arena box office, online at, all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

“Winning a world title in front of my fans will mean the world to me,” Saucedo said. “That’s something I have been dreaming of since I started boxing, and now that the opportunity is here, I’m going to train hard and become a champion.”

Saucedo (28-0, 18 KOs) last fought June 30 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena against Lenny Zappavigna, a Fight of the Year contender that ended with a bloody Saucedo stopping an even bloodier Zappavigna in the seventh round. Saucedo-Zappavigna served as the co-feature to Gilbert “Zurdo” Ramirez’s super middleweight title defense against Alexis Angulo that evening. Now, Saucedo will top the bill in his beloved OKC.

“My last fight in Oklahoma City was a war. I believe I learned a lot in that fight,” Saucedo said. “{Trainer Abel Sanchez and I} went back to look at the tape. We learned that I need to use a lot more movements. We saw a lot of things that I need to work on, and we have done so. I have been training very hard. We will be ready for Nov. 16.”

Hooker (24-0-3, 16 KOs), from Dallas, Texas, is a newly minted world champion. On June 9, he punched his passport to Manchester, England, and upended the hometown hero, Terry Flanagan, via split decision to win the title. Hooker will look to defend his title for the first time in the fistic version of the “Red River Rivalry.”

“I believe Maurice Hooker is a smart and strong fighter,” Saucedo said. “I have to be smart in the ring. I have to go in there with everything that I know.”

Hooker vs Saucedo

Hooker vs Saucedo : Friday night, ESPN presents a world title fight in the Junior Welterweight (140 lbs.) division when WBO champion Maurice Hooker takes on challenger Alex Saucedo. The fight is live from Oklahoma City this Friday, November 16, with a fight time of Midnight ET, and will air on ESPN, or in a live stream on the ESPN app. Here is a preview of the action.

Cllick Here To watch Now

Hooker claimed the WBO title in his last fight with an upset win over Terry Flanagan in what was, at the time, Flanagan’s first loss. Hooker fought a very good fight in that one, using his size to control the more seasoned Flanagan and take a decision win. What’s interesting about Hooker is that a win over Flanagan is very impressive and deserves to earn him accolades (he’s now at #7 in the division according to Ring Magazine) but he doesn’t really have any other wins worth a mention. It’s not like he’s been fighting cans, but the Flanagan fight was a significant step up for him, and obviously, he showed that he was ready for it. Saucedo is also undefeated. Just like Hooker did against Flanagan, Saucedo is taking a big step up here, as none of his past fights would indicate he’s on the verge of becoming a world champion. Still, the facts that Hooker is far from proven, and that we still have not definitively seen Saucedo’s ceiling make this an intriguing battle.

For those interested, there will also be a stream of the undercard starting at 6:30 p.m. ET available on ESPN+. Here’ the line-up there:
